"The Emerging Recognition of Jesus' Divine Nature" by David Linthicum
"Many questions have arisen, and much debate has been had concerning the divine nature of Jesus of Nazareth and the fact that he was also a mortal being, born of woman. When did Jesus become fully aware of his divine nature? Did he become aware of this unique blending of the human and divine as a youth, a teenager or sometime during his young adulthood? Was it at the river Jordan when he subjected himself to the baptism ceremony of John the Baptist? Was it when he ascended Mount Hermon and spent 40 days in communion with the Father? Or, was it a gradual recognition as he grew up in the little town of Nazareth?
This collection of quotes from The Urantia Book, specifically Part IV: The Life and Teachings of Jesus, was compiled to shed light on these perplexing questions by revealing the events in Jesus’ life that highlight his experiences as a mortal of the realm. Jesus took on the title of “Son of Man” but was, in fact and actuality, the “Son of God” as well, a perfectly blended personality, having origin on Paradise and now living a mortal life, with a divine mission to bring forth a new revelation of God to all of mankind."
